Barangay Desawo

Situated in T'boli, South Cotabato, Barangay Desawo is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Desawo had a population of 2,106. This made it the 20th largest of 25 barangays in T'boli by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Desawo accounted for approximately 2.08% of the total population of T'boli, which stood at 101,049 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Desawo moving from 2,070 residents to 2,106 residents, an intercensal change of +1.7%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Desawo as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

T'boli is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Desawo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
