Situated in Tanza, Cavite, Barangay Capipisa is one of 41 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

This made it the 13th largest of 41 barangays in Tanza by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Capipisa changed from 6,777 to 7,448, a shift of +9.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Tanza. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Capipisa as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Tanza is a municipality comprising 41 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Capipisa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
