Barangay Magtuhao

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Magtuhao is one of the administrative divisions of Tayasan in Negros Oriental, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Magtuhao had a population of 613. This made it the 26th largest of 28 barangays in Tayasan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Magtuhao accounted for approximately 1.61% of the total population of Tayasan, which stood at 38,159 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Magtuhao moving from 575 residents to 613 residents, an intercensal change of +6.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Magtuhao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tayasan is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Magtuhao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
