Barangay Matauta

Barangay Matauta forms part of Tayasan, a municipality in Negros Oriental, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Matauta had a population of 694. This made it the 22nd largest of 28 barangays in Tayasan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Matauta accounted for approximately 1.82% of the total population of Tayasan, which stood at 38,159 in the same census year.
