Situated in Taytay, Palawan, Barangay Cataban is one of 31 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Cataban changed from 939 to 1,255, a shift of +33.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Taytay.
