Barangay Caraycayon

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Caraycayon is one of the administrative divisions of Tigaon in Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Caraycayon had a population of 4,975. This made it the 1st largest of 23 barangays in Tigaon by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Caraycayon accounted for approximately 8.22% of the total population of Tigaon, which stood at 60,524 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Caraycayon moving from 3,872 residents to 4,975 residents, an intercensal change of +28.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Caraycayon as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Tigaon is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Caraycayon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
