Barangay 5 (Pob.)

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay 5 (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Tigbauan in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay 5 (Pob.) had a population of 436. This made it the 44th largest of 52 barangays in Tigbauan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay 5 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 0.67% of the total population of Tigbauan, which stood at 65,245 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 508 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 436 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -14.2%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay 5 (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tigbauan is a municipality comprising 52 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay 5 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
