Barangay Ansagan

Barangay Ansagan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Tuba, located in the province of Benguet, in the CAR region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ansagan had a population of 2,307. This made it the 7th largest of 13 barangays in Tuba by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ansagan accounted for approximately 4.78% of the total population of Tuba, which stood at 48,312 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Ansagan moving from 2,386 residents to 2,307 residents, an intercensal change of -3.3%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Ansagan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tuba is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ansagan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Benguet, which contains 269 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Ansagan ranks 66th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
