Barangay Tagmamarkay

Barangay Tagmamarkay forms part of Tubay, a municipality in Agusan Del Norte, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tagmamarkay had a population of 1,932. This made it the 7th largest of 13 barangays in Tubay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tagmamarkay accounted for approximately 7.49% of the total population of Tubay, which stood at 25,785 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tagmamarkay moving from 1,825 residents to 1,932 residents, an intercensal change of +5.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tagmamarkay as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
