Barangay Calmante

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Calmante is one of the administrative divisions of Tudela in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Calmante had a population of 1,426. This made it the 3rd largest of 11 barangays in Tudela by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calmante accounted for approximately 12.62% of the total population of Tudela, which stood at 11,304 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,464 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,426 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -2.6%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Calmante as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tudela is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calmante, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
