Barangay Tamdagan

Situated in Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Barangay Tamdagan is one of 33 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tamdagan had a population of 1,351. This made it the 7th largest of 33 barangays in Vintar by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tamdagan accounted for approximately 4.05% of the total population of Vintar, which stood at 33,339 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,346 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,351 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +0.4%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Tamdagan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Vintar is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tamdagan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Ilocos Norte, which contains 559 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tamdagan ranks 143rd by 2020 population.
