Barangay Cavinitan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Cavinitan is one of the administrative divisions of Virac in Catanduanes, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cavinitan had a population of 3,959. This made it the 2nd largest of 63 barangays in Virac by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cavinitan accounted for approximately 5.17% of the total population of Virac, which stood at 76,520 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cavinitan moving from 4,514 residents to 3,959 residents, an intercensal change of -12.3%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Cavinitan is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
