As Punong Barangay of Barangay Denigpian, Joseph Apura Calicoy presides over the Sangguniang Barangay of the barangay in Dolores, Eastern Samar, serving the 2023 - 2026 term. According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing, Barangay Denigpian had a population of 1,134 residents — the constituency that Joseph serves as Punong Barangay. Eastern Samar is classified as a 2nd by the Bureau of Local Government Finance.
Barangay officials in the Philippines are elected during the synchronised Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).
