Barangay Silangang Calutan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Silangang Calutan is one of the administrative divisions of Agdangan in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Silangang Calutan had a population of 978. This made it the 8th largest of 12 barangays in Agdangan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Silangang Calutan accounted for approximately 7.66% of the total population of Agdangan, which stood at 12,764 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 829 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 978 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +18.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Silangang Calutan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Agdangan is a municipality comprising 12 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Silangang Calutan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Quezon, which contains 1,242 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Silangang Calutan ranks 615th by 2020 population.
