Barangay San Benigno

Barangay San Benigno is a small barangay in the municipality of Aglipay, located in the province of Quirino, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Benigno had a population of 1,644. This made it the 5th largest of 25 barangays in Aglipay by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Benigno accounted for approximately 5.35% of the total population of Aglipay, which stood at 30,714 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Benigno moving from 1,343 residents to 1,644 residents, an intercensal change of +22.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Benigno as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Aglipay is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Benigno, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
