Barangay Damag

Situated in Aguinaldo, Ifugao, Barangay Damag is one of 16 barangays that make up the municipality within CAR.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Damag had a population of 1,051. This made it the 10th largest of 16 barangays in Aguinaldo by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Damag accounted for approximately 4.97% of the total population of Aguinaldo, which stood at 21,128 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 940 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,051 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Damag is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Aguinaldo is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Damag, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Ifugao, which contains 176 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Damag ranks 88th by 2020 population. Ifugao is classified as a 3rd by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
