Barangay Jacmal

Situated in Aguinaldo, Ifugao, Barangay Jacmal is one of 16 barangays that make up the municipality within CAR.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Jacmal had a population of 1,015. This made it the 11th largest of 16 barangays in Aguinaldo by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Jacmal accounted for approximately 4.80% of the total population of Aguinaldo, which stood at 21,128 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Jacmal changed from 744 to 1,015, a shift of +36.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Aguinaldo. Barangay Jacmal is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Aguinaldo is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Jacmal, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
