Barangay Santa Maria

Barangay Santa Maria is a small barangay in the municipality of Alicia, located in the province of Isabela, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Santa Maria had a population of 763. This made it the 33rd largest of 34 barangays in Alicia by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Maria accounted for approximately 1.03% of the total population of Alicia, which stood at 73,874 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Santa Maria changed from 696 to 763, a shift of +9.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Alicia. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Santa Maria as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
