Barangay Binalud

Situated in Alimodian, Iloilo, Barangay Binalud is one of 51 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Binalud had a population of 1,081. This made it the 7th largest of 51 barangays in Alimodian by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Binalud accounted for approximately 2.72% of the total population of Alimodian, which stood at 39,722 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 959 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,081 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +12.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Binalud is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Alimodian is a municipality comprising 51 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Binalud, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
