Barangay Jamorawon

Situated in Almeria, Biliran, Barangay Jamorawon is one of 13 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Jamorawon had a population of 1,604. This made it the 3rd largest of 13 barangays in Almeria by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Jamorawon accounted for approximately 8.93% of the total population of Almeria, which stood at 17,954 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Jamorawon changed from 1,507 to 1,604, a shift of +6.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Almeria. Barangay Jamorawon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Almeria is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Jamorawon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Biliran, which contains 132 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Jamorawon ranks 39th by 2020 population.
