Barangay Monterico

Situated in Aloran, Misamis Occidental, Barangay Monterico is one of 38 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Monterico had a population of 556. This made it the 23rd largest of 38 barangays in Aloran by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Monterico accounted for approximately 1.99% of the total population of Aloran, which stood at 27,934 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Monterico moving from 527 residents to 556 residents, an intercensal change of +5.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Monterico as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
