Barangay Balucuc

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Balucuc is one of the administrative divisions of Apalit in Pampanga, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Balucuc had a population of 10,867. This made it the 4th largest of 12 barangays in Apalit by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Balucuc accounted for approximately 9.28% of the total population of Apalit, which stood at 117,160 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Balucuc changed from 10,104 to 10,867, a shift of +7.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Apalit. Barangay Balucuc is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Apalit is a municipality comprising 12 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Balucuc, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pampanga, which contains 538 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Balucuc ranks 36th by 2020 population. Pampanga is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
