Barangay Cansinala

Barangay Cansinala is a large barangay in the municipality of Apalit, located in the province of Pampanga, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cansinala had a population of 7,856. This made it the 8th largest of 12 barangays in Apalit by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cansinala accounted for approximately 6.71% of the total population of Apalit, which stood at 117,160 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Cansinala changed from 7,329 to 7,856, a shift of +7.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Apalit. Barangay Cansinala is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Apalit is a municipality comprising 12 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cansinala, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pampanga, which contains 538 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Cansinala ranks 64th by 2020 population. Pampanga is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
