Barangay Paddaya

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Paddaya is one of the administrative divisions of Aparri in Cagayan, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Paddaya had a population of 4,087. This made it the 4th largest of 42 barangays in Aparri by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Paddaya accounted for approximately 5.94% of the total population of Aparri, which stood at 68,839 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,769 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,087 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +8.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Paddaya is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Aparri is a municipality comprising 42 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Paddaya, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cagayan, which contains 820 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Paddaya ranks 35th by 2020 population. Cagayan is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
