Barangay Taloto forms part of Araceli, a municipality in Palawan, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Taloto had a population of 537. This made it the 11th largest of 13 barangays in Araceli by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Taloto accounted for approximately 3.72% of the total population of Araceli, which stood at 14,434 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 559 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 537 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -3.9%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Taloto is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Araceli is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Taloto, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
