Barangay Sua

Situated in Argao, Cebu, Barangay Sua is one of 45 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sua had a population of 797. This made it the 37th largest of 45 barangays in Argao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sua accounted for approximately 1.02% of the total population of Argao, which stood at 78,187 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sua moving from 899 residents to 797 residents, an intercensal change of -11.3%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Sua is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Argao is a municipality comprising 45 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sua, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
