Barangay Tigbao

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Tigbao is one of the administrative divisions of Aroroy in Masbate, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tigbao had a population of 3,131. This made it the 6th largest of 41 barangays in Aroroy by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tigbao accounted for approximately 3.54% of the total population of Aroroy, which stood at 88,351 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tigbao moving from 3,081 residents to 3,131 residents, an intercensal change of +1.6%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tigbao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Aroroy is a municipality comprising 41 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tigbao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
