Barangay Tinago

Situated in Aroroy, Masbate, Barangay Tinago is one of 41 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tinago had a population of 1,736. This made it the 19th largest of 41 barangays in Aroroy by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tinago accounted for approximately 1.96% of the total population of Aroroy, which stood at 88,351 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tinago moving from 1,720 residents to 1,736 residents, an intercensal change of +0.9%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tinago as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Aroroy is a municipality comprising 41 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tinago, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
