Barangay Kulawit

Barangay Kulawit is a very small barangay in the municipality of Atimonan, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Kulawit had a population of 289. This made it the 37th largest of 42 barangays in Atimonan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kulawit accounted for approximately 0.45% of the total population of Atimonan, which stood at 64,260 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Kulawit moving from 237 residents to 289 residents, an intercensal change of +21.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Kulawit is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
