Barangay Sapa Loboc

Barangay Sapa Loboc is a small barangay in the municipality of Aurora, located in the province of Zamboanga Del Sur, in the Zamboanga Peninsula region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sapa Loboc had a population of 1,312. This made it the 14th largest of 44 barangays in Aurora by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sapa Loboc accounted for approximately 2.48% of the total population of Aurora, which stood at 52,995 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Sapa Loboc changed from 1,310 to 1,312, a shift of +0.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Aurora. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sapa Loboc as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Aurora is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sapa Loboc, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
