Barangay Bagong Tanza

Barangay Bagong Tanza is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Aurora, located in the province of Isabela, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bagong Tanza had a population of 2,607. This made it the 2nd largest of 33 barangays in Aurora by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bagong Tanza accounted for approximately 7.12% of the total population of Aurora, which stood at 36,621 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bagong Tanza moving from 2,622 residents to 2,607 residents, an intercensal change of -0.6%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bagong Tanza as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
