Barangay Cambaly

Barangay Cambaly forms part of Bagulin, a municipality in La Union, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cambaly had a population of 2,034. This made it the 2nd largest of 10 barangays in Bagulin by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cambaly accounted for approximately 14.10% of the total population of Bagulin, which stood at 14,428 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,849 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,034 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Cambaly is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bagulin is a municipality comprising 10 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cambaly, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
