Barangay Lamesa

Situated in Balamban, Cebu, Barangay Lamesa is one of 28 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lamesa had a population of 2,009. This made it the 15th largest of 28 barangays in Balamban by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lamesa accounted for approximately 2.11% of the total population of Balamban, which stood at 95,136 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Lamesa changed from 1,799 to 2,009, a shift of +11.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Balamban. Barangay Lamesa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Balamban is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lamesa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
