Barangay Angayan Norte

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Angayan Norte is one of the administrative divisions of Balungao in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Angayan Norte had a population of 1,290. This made it the 12th largest of 20 barangays in Balungao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Angayan Norte accounted for approximately 4.30% of the total population of Balungao, which stood at 30,004 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Angayan Norte changed from 1,272 to 1,290, a shift of +1.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Balungao. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Angayan Norte as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Balungao is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Angayan Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
