Barangay Tam-an

Barangay Tam-an is a small barangay in the municipality of Banaue, located in the province of Ifugao, in the CAR region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tam-an had a population of 1,473. This made it the 6th largest of 18 barangays in Banaue by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tam-an accounted for approximately 7.13% of the total population of Banaue, which stood at 20,652 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tam-an moving from 1,434 residents to 1,473 residents, an intercensal change of +2.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Tam-an is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Banaue is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tam-an, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
