Barangay Improgo Village (Pob.)

Barangay Improgo Village (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Banga, located in the province of South Cotabato, in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Improgo Village (Pob.) had a population of 1,374. This made it the 21st largest of 22 barangays in Banga by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Improgo Village (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.54% of the total population of Banga, which stood at 89,164 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,251 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,374 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Improgo Village (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Banga is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Improgo Village (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of South Cotabato, which contains 225 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Improgo Village (Pob.) ranks 190th by 2020 population.
