Barangay Lambingi

Situated in Banga, South Cotabato, Barangay Lambingi is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lambingi had a population of 3,633. This made it the 14th largest of 22 barangays in Banga by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lambingi accounted for approximately 4.07% of the total population of Banga, which stood at 89,164 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,293 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,633 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Lambingi is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Banga is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lambingi, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
