Barangay Paratong No. 4

Situated in Bangar, La Union, Barangay Paratong No. 4 is one of 33 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Paratong No. 4 had a population of 895. This made it the 27th largest of 33 barangays in Bangar by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Paratong No. 4 accounted for approximately 2.35% of the total population of Bangar, which stood at 38,041 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Paratong No. 4 moving from 865 residents to 895 residents, an intercensal change of +3.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Paratong No. 4 as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
