Barangay Villa Pag-Asa

Barangay Villa Pag-Asa forms part of Bansud, a municipality in Oriental Mindoro, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Villa Pag-Asa had a population of 4,634. This made it the 3rd largest of 13 barangays in Bansud by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Villa Pag-Asa accounted for approximately 10.86% of the total population of Bansud, which stood at 42,671 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Villa Pag-Asa moving from 4,726 residents to 4,634 residents, an intercensal change of -1.9%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Villa Pag-Asa as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
