Barangay Sudlon

Situated in Barobo, Surigao Del Sur, Barangay Sudlon is one of 21 barangays that make up the municipality within Caraga.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sudlon had a population of 370. This made it the 21st largest of 21 barangays in Barobo by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sudlon accounted for approximately 0.70% of the total population of Barobo, which stood at 53,146 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Sudlon changed from 358 to 370, a shift of +3.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Barobo. Barangay Sudlon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Barobo is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sudlon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Surigao Del Sur, which contains 309 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Sudlon ranks 305th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
