Barangay Panugmonon

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Panugmonon is one of the administrative divisions of Basey in Samar, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Panugmonon had a population of 721. This made it the 31st largest of 51 barangays in Basey by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Panugmonon accounted for approximately 1.27% of the total population of Basey, which stood at 56,685 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 674 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 721 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +7.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Panugmonon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
