Barangay Tinaogan

Barangay Tinaogan is a small barangay in the municipality of Basey, located in the province of Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tinaogan had a population of 1,441. This made it the 13th largest of 51 barangays in Basey by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tinaogan accounted for approximately 2.54% of the total population of Basey, which stood at 56,685 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tinaogan moving from 1,371 residents to 1,441 residents, an intercensal change of +5.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
