Barangay Puerto Princesa

Barangay Puerto Princesa is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Basilisa, located in the province of Dinagat Islands, in the Caraga region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Puerto Princesa had a population of 2,120. This made it the 4th largest of 27 barangays in Basilisa by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Puerto Princesa accounted for approximately 5.74% of the total population of Basilisa, which stood at 36,911 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Puerto Princesa changed from 1,903 to 2,120, a shift of +11.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Basilisa. Barangay Puerto Princesa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
