Barangay Tacad

Situated in Basud, Camarines Norte, Barangay Tacad is one of 29 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tacad had a population of 1,226. This made it the 17th largest of 29 barangays in Basud by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tacad accounted for approximately 2.72% of the total population of Basud, which stood at 45,133 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tacad moving from 1,095 residents to 1,226 residents, an intercensal change of +12.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Tacad is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
