Barangay Pasayan

Situated in Batad, Iloilo, Barangay Pasayan is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pasayan had a population of 676. This made it the 14th largest of 24 barangays in Batad by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pasayan accounted for approximately 3.05% of the total population of Batad, which stood at 22,157 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pasayan moving from 666 residents to 676 residents, an intercensal change of +1.5%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Pasayan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
