Barangay Lupit

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Lupit is one of the administrative divisions of Batan in Aklan, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lupit had a population of 1,654. This made it the 8th largest of 20 barangays in Batan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lupit accounted for approximately 4.94% of the total population of Batan, which stood at 33,484 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lupit moving from 1,562 residents to 1,654 residents, an intercensal change of +5.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Lupit is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
