Barangay Malindig

Situated in Bauan, Batangas, Barangay Malindig is one of 40 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Malindig had a population of 394. This made it the 39th largest of 40 barangays in Bauan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Malindig accounted for approximately 0.43% of the total population of Bauan, which stood at 90,819 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Malindig changed from 358 to 394, a shift of +10.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Bauan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Malindig as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bauan is a municipality comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Malindig, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Batangas, which contains 1,078 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Malindig ranks 1041st by 2020 population.
