Barangay Manghinao Proper

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Manghinao Proper is one of the administrative divisions of Bauan in Batangas, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Manghinao Proper had a population of 10,877. This made it the 1st largest of 40 barangays in Bauan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Manghinao Proper accounted for approximately 11.98% of the total population of Bauan, which stood at 90,819 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Manghinao Proper changed from 10,789 to 10,877, a shift of +0.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Bauan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Manghinao Proper as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Bauan is a municipality comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Manghinao Proper, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
