Situated in Bauan, Batangas, Barangay Santo Domingo is one of 40 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

This made it the 11th largest of 40 barangays in Bauan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santo Domingo accounted for approximately 2.98% of the total population of Bauan, which stood at 90,819 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,407 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,702 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +12.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Santo Domingo as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
