Barangay Salawagan

Situated in Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur, Barangay Salawagan is one of 28 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Salawagan had a population of 1,208. This made it the 9th largest of 28 barangays in Bayog by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Salawagan accounted for approximately 3.50% of the total population of Bayog, which stood at 34,519 in the same census year.
